Who are we?
We are the renal patients of St George's Hospital. The Association provides a link between us and the doctors, nurses and managers so that we are able to influence decisions made on our behalf.
What does the SGKPA do?
- We buy items to increase the comfort of us patients, for example:
- We organise social events, including concerts, quiz nights and sporting events, and other fund-raising events including support for the Marathon.
- We work closely with staff, making suggestions, taking up complaints and improving communications.
- We take part in discussions on future policy and plans with the various Boards of the Trust and NHS both inside and outside the hospital
How do I join?
- If you are a kidney patient at St George's hospital you are automatically a member. You should receive
mailings from us from time to time.
How can I help?
- By volunteering to give a little time to help the committee and the hospital in its work
- By helping to organise and attending events to raise money
- By donating money whether by supporting an event or by leaving funds in wills
What should I do if I have a suggestion or complaint, or want to get involved?
