The cricket match was organised by Admiral Trust with the support of St George's KPA and 3 other charities. In the morning around 15 children took part in fun and educational coaching session with the Lashings All Stars, collecting autographs along the way. Over 100 paying guests attended the marquee lunch with auctions and were presented to the Lashings cricketers.
John Salako (former Crystal Palace & England) captained Freeman's XI, who bowled first and restricted Lashings All Stars to 192 off 20 overs, despite the best efforts of the poor afternoon weather to spoil the event. This included a powerful display by Cephas Zhuwao (Zimbabwe) who's straight sixes resulted in 2 lost balls! Freeman's XI reply began well with Monty Panesar coming in for particular punishment. Ultimately they came up short on 135 for 6 to give Lashings their 65th consecutive win to continue their remarkable record.
The funds raised came from ticket sales, sponsors, advertisers, raffles, drink sales & generous benefactors including:

The funds will go towards the setting up of a much needed new outpatient clinic at the hospital. More about this soon.
The Admiral Trust is a charitable trust, established in January 2012, which aims to provide resources, encouragement and support to those in need. They will disperse all proceeds from the event to the 4 participating charities.
